With a team of technical experts and commercial real estate professionals, we develop and implement market engagement strategies to achieve cost savings. We have worked with national commercial real estate companies, utilities, and government agencies over the past 13 years and have established ourselves as a trusted advisor in the industry.
Position Summary: Waypoint is looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team of outreach specialists working to engage customers from multiple market segments in energy efficiency programs. Our role is to share program information with customers to help them access financial incentives for energy-saving projects. This role will involve cold-emailing and cold-calling, and engagement strategy development.
The individual best suited for this role should have a proven track record of customer service and/or sales. They would be comfortable in a self-directed environment managing a pipeline of leads. Experience with Salesforce is appreciated, but not necessary.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the energy team to execute outreach strategies across multiple market segments

Develop and manage stakeholder relationships within a regional portfolio of commercial buildings and utility program management

Coordinate with utility account executives to increase adoption and implementation of energy efficient upgrades and other demand side management opportunities at scale

Assist management in attaining business development targets

Periodically assist with research and development of materials for marketing, events, and partnerships with industry organizations

Travel up to 5% for networking events, conferences, and client meetings

Run a high volume of outreach to your targets across all channels

Log all activity in Salesforce, maintaining clean and detailed data

Collaborate and support the development of innovative sales and marketing programs
Qualifications:

1 - 2 years of sales experience, with a history of exceeding lead targets

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Has cold/warm calling experience and experience speaking with various decision makers to set meetings

Expertise in consultative selling and delivery of highly engaging, personally tailored sales presentations

A genuine interest in building long-term relationships, rather than just achieving building pipeline

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to “move the needle” for a growing organization
